College Care Packages

Holy Family has an amazing ministry that helps to comfort all of our parishioners who are off at college. This ministry sends four care packages each year to those students who have signed up.
Parents and soon to be college students, contact Rob Lickteig at rob@holyfamily.com to be added to the list for this upcoming school year.

Funeral Dinners

Holy Family provides funeral dinners for the family and friends of parishioners who have died. The St. Joseph’s Women’s Group serves and coordinates the dinners. If you would like to provide food or help serve, please email stjosephswomens@holyfamily.com.

Giving Tree

Holy Family has sponsored a Giving Tree program each Advent since 1985. Needy Northland families are adopted for the holiday season. Parishioners may become involved by joining the committee, selecting ornaments from the tree and purchasing the gift indicated on the ornament, and/or delivering gifts to families. Committee members work behind the scenes to prepare gift ornaments, to call recipients and to assist with various tasks leading up to final gift sorting and delivery. Email the committee with questions and family assistance referrals at givingtree@holyfamily.com.

Helping Hands

The Helping Hands program assists those parishioners and family members who may be in need of assistance, long-term or for one specific item. Should you or someone you know be in need of assistance with home repairs, a ride to a doctor’s appointment, meals while recuperating or anything similar, Holy Family wants to help. Please contact Phyllis Font at 816-582-9507 or email at pfont1@yahoo.com.

Helping Hands is also in need of “handy people” who are willing to complete or assist with small repairs. Contact Phyllis or Henry Font with your information and area of expertise.

A thank you from a family who was helped through the Helping Hands program:
To everyone at Holy Family
XX, XX and myself want to say thank you for everyone that took time out of your lives to give food to complete strangers. We want to thank all of you for everything. The dinners and desserts were amazing. We enjoyed meeting each and every one of you. We greatly appreciate the fact that you have restored our faith and taught our daughter that there are still good people in the world and are willing to help people in need. This letter will never be good enough for us to show you how much we appreciate all of you. You all are truly a blessing.
Thank you for everything.
