Our Pastor - Father Matthew Brumleve
Rev. Matthew Brumleve was born in Akron, Ohio, and was raised in Sellersburg, Ind. He attended St. Meinrad Seminary in St. Meinrad, Ind., and St. Vincent Seminary in Latrobe, Pa. He was ordained as a Benedictine on May 14, 1988, at Subiaco Abbey in Subiaco, Ark. He taught and served as chaplain at Subiaco Academy from 1988 to 1992 and taught at St. Patrick's School in Kansas City, Mo., during the 1993-1994 school year. Prior to being named pastor of Holy Family Parish, he served as associate pastor at St. Mark's Parish in Independence (1994-1996), administrator of St. Patrick's Parish in St. Joseph and St. Joseph's Parish in Easton (1996) and pastor of St. Patrick's and sacramental minister of St. Joseph (1997-2004). Fr. Matthew was incardinated into the diocese on May 11, 1998. He served as director of continuing formation of priests for the diocese from 1996 to 2008. In 2008, he received certificates in death and grief studies from Dr. Alan Wofelt's Center for Loss and Life Transition and Colorado State University. |
