In April, eight families completed Financial Peace University at Holy Family. Over a 14-week period we learned to embrace the concept of biblical principles and stewardship in handling personal finances. As a group we were able to save $46,860 and reduce debt by $36,407, for an average change in net worth of $10,659 per family, during the class. In addition, as individuals we increased our giving and as a group refused over $2,118,300 in new credit offers received. It’s amazing we received that many offers despite the fact that the entire class had signed up to opt out of all credit and other marketing offers before the class even began. And people are surprised to learn that we are constantly being sold the idea of going deeply into debt! Plan to join us next year. Everyone can benefit. Classes begin Thursday, January 13, 2011.
